Is the speed reported through the telematics system based on the actual wheel rotation or based on the GPS recorded distance over time? We have had some instances of trustworthy users receiving speeding alerts when they reported that their vehicles were set for much lower speeds with the vehicle on cruise control. I am trying to determine if GPS drift plays a factor in these alerts.
