Is there any API we can use to get the unassigned driving of the trucks? I am looking for something similar to Unassigned HOS Report in Samsara portal

On our newer trucks, the PTO on/off is communicated through the computer and can be picked up from the J1939 port using scanner software. Can this also be picked up via the API with the VG54? It would be best if it was a webhook.

Hello! We were wondering if there's a way to be able to select equipment (not vehicle or trailer) in the DVIR tab of the samsara app. Is there a setting in the app that allows that? Or would this be something we would need to develop a custom form? <br>

Hi All, We would like to explore using Samsara's login to authenticate other driver apps. Almost like a "login with Samsara" button within the app that uses Samsara as the IDP to authenticate other services. Is this possible today? In order for this to work, it would have to allow the driver's device to fetch a token and basic info about its own samsara login session and pass to another app. Thanks! \-Nick

I'm looking for feedback from Canadian drivers and operators who are managing HOS within and outside the 160 km radius. We have a seasonal fleet that mostly operates in very small radius and off provincial roads. Lots of short stop and go. Managing a detailed HOS log is a nightmare in this scenario. Yard Move would make more sense. The context of this is forestry work in remote reforestation blocks. Any suggestions? Can we do a DVIR and then skip the vehicle sign in and HOS as long as we don't exceed the daily limits for driving time and on-duty time?

In Samsara it says: "Alert if the vehicle moves without an assigned driver. Use this alert for drivers who normally use the Samsara Driver App." Alerts are being send out to vehicles that have no trip data. I thought an alert is only being created if a vehicle moves without an assigned driver?

Is there a way to import transactions. For instance we have a csv report that we would like to import into Samsara software.
