Create a priced vendor quote or expected-cost recommendation for a work order.

Rate limit: 100 requests/min (learn more about rate limits here).

To use this endpoint, select Write Work Orders under the Work Orders category when creating or editing an API token. Learn More.

Include estimate external identifiers. Defaults to false.

Create a priced recommendation or vendor quote. Only vendorQuote can be created with an approved or denied decision through Samsara approval and UTS. Native decision requests require nonempty externalIds for safe retries. Combined normalized quote content and external metadata must not exceed 245,760 bytes. Attach files through the attachment endpoint.

Optional provider metadata. Every child is optional. PATCH replaces the whole object, null or an empty object clears it, and omission preserves it. Nonempty provider metadata requires an actual quote or an active selected recommendation.
